Kellie asked:
I’m helping friends out in a San Francisco scavenger hunt. There is a street in Fort Mason named after a Spanish writer. What is it called?

I’m stumped. The streets in the Fort itself are Franklin, MacArthur, Pope, MacDowell and Funston.
The streets that lead into it are Franklin and Gough. Octavia is nearby.
I don’t know which of those might be considered a Spanish author. Are you sure it’s Fort Mason, and not, say, Fort Funston?
It is probably too late, but the only street I know of named after a spanish writer is not in FOrt Mason. BUt is Ulloa Street which was named for Antonio de Ulloa who was the first Spanish governor of Louisiana. He wrote A Voyage to South America.
