unless the pressure lid is ‘popped’ they’ll keep for almost forever….. I’ve had homade marachino cherries that were kept in a basement for over 30 years, and they were great.

Actually the longer it stays the better it tastes.

If they’ve been properly processed and stored, and the seal is intact, go ahead and enjoy them- they sound great. (reminds me there are plums I should eat….)
